Terms of Service

Last updated: April 6, 2026

1. Service Description

Verbum ("we", "us", "our") provides website design, hosting, and lead capture services for law firms and legal professionals. Our service includes the creation and maintenance of a professional website, client intake forms, review display, and hosting infrastructure.

2. Subscription and Billing

Our service is billed monthly at the rate displayed at the time of signup. Payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Your subscription begins when you complete checkout and will automatically renew each month unless cancelled.

Add-on services (custom domains, professional email, AI chat) are billed separately at their listed monthly rates and follow the same renewal terms.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support@verbumlaw.com. Upon cancellation, your website will remain active through the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you provide to us, including firm details, photographs, and review text. We retain ownership of our design system, templates, code, and infrastructure. You grant us a license to display your content as part of the service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to provide accurate information about your law practice. You will not use our service for misleading advertising, false claims about legal qualifications, or any purpose that violates applicable bar association rules or regulations.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for hosted websites. We are not liable for temporary outages due to maintenance, third-party service disruptions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verbum shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
